Description
Pension de Gasterei is a cosy guesthouse, where young and old feel at home. Located directly on the skikarussel Winterberg, bike- and hiking trails, the Bike Arena Sauerland and the Sauerland Höhestrasse.
The Gasterei has 13 spacious rooms (2-, 3- and 4- persons), each with a private bathroom with shower and toilet, a guest lounge, breakfast and dinner room, skiroom, wifi, terrace with barbecue facilities and parking.
An extensive breakfast is served in our dining room. For dinner, daily changing menus are available for guests who wish to make use of them.
Bicycle and motorcycle friendly Pension.
Pets are not allowed.Located directly on the "Hochsauerland Höhenstrasse", the tourist ring road of the Sauerland.
Part of the Bike Arena, 1700 km with 45 marked out routes, near the Bike Park and on various walking routes (Rothaarsteig). The possibilities for trips by car, motorcycle, bicycle or on foot through the incredibly beautiful landscape are endless! The Gasterei is the perfect base here!
The Gasterei is affiliated with the BikeArena Hoch Sauerland and has received the highest qualification of this; Komfort Biker Spezial Tipp !.
De Gasterei has a limited indoor parking, cleaning and repair area for bicycles. We also have a drying room and laundry service for clothes.
Because Winterberg-Altastenberg is the highest village in Hochsauerland and has sufficient snow cannons, snow reliability is virtually guaranteed here. The ski school is located around the corner, with practice slopes and various blue, red, and even black (FIS) runs.
With a multi-day ski pass you also have access to the ski areas in the immediate vicinity (including Winterberg, Neuastenberg and Willingen).

You can pay in cash or by Card (from 25 Euro's) on the spot.A 50% deposit may be charged after booking.
Cancellations up to 2 days before arrival are free of charge. In case of later cancellations, 80% of the total price will be charged.
Arrival description
From Cologne: Take the A4 towards Engelskirchen to exit 30-Krombach, where you connect to the B54. At the next roundabout, take the first exit and continue to Krombach. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the B517 towards Hofolpe. At Kirchhundem you leave the B517 and continue towards B236. Then follow the B236 towards Schmallenberg to Oberkirchen. From there, follow the signs to Altastenberg.-
