Description

The extension of Haus am Walde is a pleasant accommodation for groups upto 16 people. Ideally situated, because we are the last house for Car Park 2 of the Skilift Carousel. Characteristic, attractive and clean!
WINTER
In winter enjoy the short walk to Skiliftkarussell Winterberg. It couldn't be any closer! Our group accommodation is located just in front of Parking 2. The lifts behind this carpark provide access to the entire ski area... Nice landmark at this pick-up point is Berghut Bremberg Klause, where they serve Apfelstrudel from Bäckerei Krämer and Bratwurst and Bier. It's nice that you don't have to worry about parking like most Winterberg visitors. Just park your car on our private property. Probably you only use this means of transport if after a long day of skiing you don't have to walk to the town to eat a nice schnitzel. And hey, you don't even have to go out for dinner. The extension of Haus am Walde has a total of 2 kitchens where you can prepare your own breakfast or dinner. You can dine together in one of the two living rooms. And because Winterberg nights, with rosy cheeks after a day of skiing, are not that long (or rather they are. It's just the way you look at it), you dive into your lovely bed afterwards. You probably already showered in one of the 4 bathrooms. This bathrooms are not big, but functional they are.

SUMMER
The extension of Haus am Walde is located directly on several trail routes and diagonally across from the Winterberg Bike Park.
Not only for this reason our location is the ideal accommodation for cycling groups and cycling clubs.
The part where the ski rental was once located now serves as an indoor storage facility. Large enough and with tools, so you can do indoor maintenance on the bike. Directly in front of the entrance of the indoor storage there is a possibility to spray the bikes.
Too much hassle to bring your own vehicle? In the town of Winterberg itself there are several possibilities for renting bicycles.
No need to say that the extension of Haus am Walde is of course also the ideal base for families, groups of friends, hikers or senior citizens groups.

Conditions/extras

It is possible to place bicycles and ski's in the actual building.
In case of summer cycling; this area is big enough to work on maintenance of your bicycle.
During Summer and Winter you can order fresh bread rolls everyday. Each morning delivered by our favorite bakery: Backerei Kramer.

Arrival description

ROUTE FROM ENTRY WINTERBERG FROM SIDE MC DONALDS
Winterberg you enter through a roundabout. Straight across.
Then another roundabout (left Mc Donalds and petrol station), this one also straight across.
Turn right at the first traffic lights (Neuastenberg). You are now driving through a tunnel.
Go straight on at the next traffic lights.
Ignore the navigation system from now on
Pay attention and look to the right*.
After about 300 meters you'll see a large white building with a large white sign with green letters: Hostel Erlebniskappe.
Just before this building is a dirt road to the right. Direction Skiliftkarussell P2. You enter it.
Sleeping in winter mountain is 100 meters further on the left hand side.
You can park on the parking lot in front of the accommodation.

*N.B. : After the traffic lights, ignore navigation system. It misses the unpaved road exit for Hostel Erlebniskappe. And send you straight on to the next parking lot
